There is a Scottish myth which talks about a monster which lives in the
water of the Loch Ness, a Scottish lake. This animal is so famous that we give
him a name: Nessie.
The first person who saw the monster was a monk in the year 565. Then
many other persons attested they saw Nessie, but it is during the 1930’s that
the story was the most popular. The all world heard about it when a
photographer pretended he took a picture of the monster. But after many debates, he admitted that his
picture was a fake.
When people attested they saw Nessie, in most of cases, they confounded
with something else: a tree which floated on the water, or an animal.
Scientists took anyway the subject very seriously, they were so many to
search Nessie in the lake, but with no results.
An ex-technician of the US Navy,
Dan Talor was conviced about the existence of the monster. So he made two
little submarines to explore the lake and meet Nessie.
With the first submarine, "Viperfish", he went through the
lake in 1969. He records his first contact with the creature in a whirlpool. He
declares, that this whirlpool was a sort of sign to say hello from Nessie.
But in 2007, a non-Professional video reopen the debate. This tourist
screened strange movements from the lake a sort of shadow which moves very
fast. Is it Nessie
?
This legend inspired a lot of authors. We can find it in books, films, and novels for child.
